Aspendos Ancient City


Aspendos Ancient City in Serik, Antalya was brought to light by excavation work with the support of the municipality.  The city, which was repaired with missing stone structures, dates back to the 10th century BC.  Being on the trade routes of the city, which is among the list of historical places in Antalya, caused frequent invasions by other civilizations.  The city, whose theater was built in the Roman period, can accommodate about 20 thousand people.  The city, where museum card holders can visit for free, may charge some fees from the unprofitable ones.

Waitomo Glowworm (Firefly) Caves (Waitomo, New Zealand)
