Table Mountain (Cape Town, South Africa)

Cape Town, the second largest residential area in South Africa, is one of the most eye-catching cities in the world with its magnificent natural beauty.  You can enjoy the sea in beautiful beaches in Cape Town.  Table Mountain in the middle of the city and Cape of Good Hope have a fascinating effect with their extraordinary views.

Discovered by Portuguese explorer Bartelemeu Dias in 1488, Cape Town fell into the hands of the Boers and the British, respectively.  It was the first European settlement established in South Africa in 1652.

After the establishment of the South African Union, it was chosen as the country's legislative capital.  The racist Apartheid regime after 1945 restricted all the rights of non-whites.  After the racial discrimination ended in 1990, non-whites became more public and took official positions.

While a part of the city is full of contemporary skyscrapers;  the other parts are composed of slums.  There are also beautiful towns and vineyards built by French immigrants.
